How do I adjust the video and audio settings on my Arlo Essential wire-free camera?

You can use the Arlo app to adjust video and audio settings on your Arlo Essential wire-free camera. From the video settings page, you can adjust brightness, camera field of view, light settings, and the power management setting. From the audio settings page, you can adjust microphone and speaker settings.

Note: Changes to these settings take effect on the next video stream or motion recording, after the change was made.

To adjust video settings on your Arlo Essential wire-free camera:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to my.arlo.com.
  2. Tap or click Settings > My Devices.
  3. Select your Arlo Essential wire-free camera.
    Note: You can also open the camera’s settings by tapping or clicking the Settings icon on the Devices page.
  4. Tap or click Video Settings.
  5. Adjust the video settings:
    1. Brightness. Move the slider to increase or decrease the video brightness.
    2. Rotate Image 180°. Tap or click the toggle to flip the field of view upside down.

    4. Power Management. Tap or click to change the camera’s battery power management between Best Video, Optimized, and Best Battery Life.

To adjust audio settings on your Arlo Essential wire-free camera:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to my.arlo.com.
  2. Tap or click Settings > My Devices.
  3. Select your Arlo Essential wire-free camera.
    Note: You can also open the camera’s settings by tapping or clicking the Settings icon on the Devices page.
  4. Tap or click Audio Settings.
  5. Adjust the audio settings:
    1. Microphone. Tap or click the toggle to turn on or off the camera’s integrated microphone.
    2. Speaker. Tap or click the toggle to turn on or off the camera’s integrated speaker.
    3. Speaker Volume. Move the slider to increase or decrease the volume on the camera’s integrated speaker.
